After producing a brilliant display for his country, O’Donnell gave an open and honest interview to the BBC.
He spoke about the criticism he had faced from fans after the previous game against Czech Republic and the interview has been shared by the Scotland National Team’s official Twitter account and racked up almost 350,000 views.
O’Donnell spoke about how boss Steve Clarke is lambasted for selecting him and Lasley says he was bursting with pride at the Well star’s response to his critics on and off the pitch.
He said: “I was as delighted with his performance as I was with his post-match interview because he spoke so well.
“When you hear him speak about his family, these guys are there to please a nation but they also want to do their family and themselves proud.
