Finding the balance between caring for her family, her health and fitness and an illness that drained her energy, Kim Lawless is the definition of resilient. Pushing past her limitations, nowadays the Melbourne mum’s mission is to help others, and encourages others to ‘do what makes your soul shine!’
Life for Melbourne mother-of-three Kim Lawless revolved around her daughters, and as any parent would understand, supporting your child’s wellbeing is at the top of your list of priorities. However, after the birth of her second child, she was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease, an ailment that affects your thyroid and can include symptoms of fatigue and weight gain, which resulted in her energy levels plummeting to an all-time low.
“I had all the symptoms of postnatal depression,” Kim says. “Lucky my doctor checked my thyroid and I was diagnosed.”
