She’s been on the judging panel since its inception and these days it wouldn’t be a Britain’s Got Talent live show without a daring outfit from Amanda Holden. And as the 52-year-old sits down with Woman to talk about her new skincare range, she admits that comments about her outfits have become something of a tradition each year. ‘We never do it deliberately but it always seems to happen anyway,’ she shrugs, adding, ‘It’s all fun though. I just want to wear exactly what I want to wear. This year, I’ll be featuring latex!’
As down to earth in person as she comes across on our screens, Amanda seems to thoroughly be enjoying her 50s. ‘I’m loving it!’ she admits, adding, ‘I genuinely think that age doesn’t mean anything any more.’
The star is also happy to chat about her family life, marriage and raising her two girls – Lexi, 17, and Hollie, 11 – who she shares with her husband of 14 years, Chris Hughes. As ambitious as ever, she’s not afraid to tell us what her next career goal will be – and all we can say is watch out prime-time TV presenters, because Amanda is keen for a slice of the pie…
