You've been helping to make gowns for local hospitals. How did that come about?
Yes. My friend Teresa has an interior design company, and she came up with the idea of putting her machinist skills to good use. One of her family is a nurse, who told her there was a huge need for them, so Teresa set up a fundraising page to help. It costs about £10 to make a set of scrubs – purely to buy the material – and the labour is voluntary.
