HARK SPACE SHIP

Paintings “Hugo Mac Art Colors.”, Pearl Plus: Pink and Blue. TS: Black, White, Fluorescent Green, Fluorescent Pink, Fluorescent Violet, Fluorescent Orange, Transparent Yellow, Opaque Light Blue, Opaque Rat Grey, Opaque Orange, and Opaque Red. As a support, a 20” X “14” (50cm. X 35cm.) sheet of PVC plastic, white cardboard, cutter, compass, spray mount, and pen. I have always been fascinated by outer space and its mysterious beauty with stars, galaxies, planets, nebulae, etc., as well as science fiction and its spaceships. In this project, I interpret its mysterious beauty. I have selected a PVC plastic plate to carry out the project, which I have cleaned and applied a black base later to apply the pink and blue pearls as a background. In this way, the pearly effect, without being applied saturated, will help me to give a slight effect of more distant stars.

Photo 1
I work on my Spaceship Shark sketch, based on an actual shark photograph from which I take the most characteristic lines of the shape of the Shark. Then, apply harder and more metallic lines to give shape and detail to the spaceship, adding other elements such as antennas, windows, turbines, etc. Finally, I used Photoshop to size the Shark picture to the desired size for my painting and print it out.

Photo 2
Once printed, I use the Spay Mount to glue it to the white cardstock, from which I will cut my template—using the Cutter Compass to cut out two circles of different diameters for the planet and its satellite from the same cardstock.
