Horst P. Horst Photographer Of Style

He was an icon in the world of photography, style and fashion: the German photographer Horst P. Horst (1906-1999) whose work influenced generations of taste-makers. A beautiful definitive retrospective exhibition of his work will be on display at the V&A in London. The exhibition, opening in September 2014, will include 250 photographs spanning six decades, shown alongside 1930s couture garments and contextual film material.

Η ΑΙΩΝΙΑ ΜΟΝΕΜΒΑΣΙΑ

Στο ανατολικό πόδι της Πελοποννήσου, στο νομό Λακωνίας, δεσπόζει η ιστορική καστροπολιτεία της Μονεμβασιάς - μια πόλη με μεσαιωνικό φρούριο που συνδέεται, μέσω γέφυρας, με τη λακωνική ακτή. Χτισμένη στο βράχο το 582 μ.Χ. από τους Λάκωνες που χρειάζονταν ένα καταφύγιο για τις επιδρομές των Αράβων και άλλων επιδρομικών λαών είναι σταθερά παρούσα εδώ και περίπου 1500 χρόνια!

Παίρνω φωτογραφίες από το 1968 - είμαι οπαδός της πραγματικής φωτογραφίας, όπως θα βγει από τη μηχανή. Αν βγει κάτι καλό με την επιλεκτική χρήση ειδικού προγράμματος ή εξαρτήματος, θα το αποδεχτώ.
