THE OCTO FINISSIMO has become a modern horological icon. Despite the relative popularity of the brand’s earlier Diagono and Bvlgari Bvlgari timepieces, less than a decade ago nobody quite believed that the Italian brand with watchmaking pedigree in Swiss Le Sentier would eventually set the standard for ultra-thin watchmaking with years of benchmark setting. Yet, timepieces are comprised of a dial, watch case, movement and strap; though its calibres have enjoyed undeniable acclaim, it is the combination of aesthetics featuring a mix of horizontal and vertical lines inspired by the Basilica of Maxentius in Rome that earned the Octo Finissimo its rightful place within the annals of famed watchmaking icons.
