EXHIBITING A COMPLETELY redesigned look and packed with the finest engineering and technology, the all-new Peugeot 408 signifies an exciting future for the French brand in the Malaysian automotive market as the first Peugeot model to be launched by Stellantis Malaysia. An expression of the marque’s renaissance and new manifesto “The Language of Attraction,” it rewrites the rulebook for its segment with a radically different exterior. The dynamic fastback silhouette embodies a robust feline grace channelled through various styling elements, setting the design direction for Peugeot vehicles to come.
BRINGING SEXY FASTBACK
From the front, the all-new Peugeot 408 introduces the brand’s new emblem, nestled as the centrepiece that harmoniously blends in with the body-coloured vertical slats of the grille. Lighting up the road ahead comes from the all-new Peugeot Signature Light—a distinctive, full-LED headlamp cluster incorporating a single, vertical fan-shaped daytime running light strip. The GT trim brings in the latest Matrix LED lighting technology, which features an automatic beam function for optimum visibility in the dark.
Moving from the dynamic side profile towards its slanting roofline, the new 408 hinges are recessed into “Cat Ears” to create an optimal aerodynamic corridor towards the boot lid spoiler. The vehicle boasts a distinctive 3D three-claw, full LED rear that is further accentuated by its inverted cut-out of the rear bumper. This design element, along with the other innovative features, ensures the vehicle turns heads and leaves a lasting impression. Based on the multienergy EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform), the attractive fastback model delivers a commanding pressence with a wheelbase of 2,787mm and a raised ground clearance of 189mm.
