If you're coupled up, there's a good chance you're eagerly planning a much-anticipated holiday right now.
But while a break with your other half can be a wonderful way to strengthen your bond and create lasting memories, it's often not without its challenges...
First up, it's balancing expectations, and communicating clearly and fairly about what you both want from a holiday. Many couples fall foul of properly talking about what their holiday aspirations are, and when it comes to scrolling the internet for that dream break, if there hasn't been a clear direction decided upon, conflict can occur.
You might envision lazy days by the pool, while your partner is keen on exploring every historical site.
Differing expectations can lead to frustration and disappointment. Have a candid conversation before you book anything. Discuss what each of you wants from the holiday and find a balance. Perhaps designate certain days for relaxation and others for adventure. Compromise is key, and planning together ensures both of you feel heard and valued.
