Nitish Kumar, born on March 1, 1951, is the 22nd chief minister of Bihar since February 22, 2015, having previously held the office from 2005 to 2014 and for a short period in 2000. He is Bihar's longest-serving chief minister, whilst also holding the post for his ninth term. He is known for switching alliances from BJP/NDA to RJD since the year 2015.
