RABBI MATONDO revealed his Old Firm leveller was right out of the Kevin De Bruyne textbook.

The winger kept Rangers' title charge on course with an addedtime wonder goal.

And before the thrilling 3-3 derby draw, Matondo told boss Philippe Clement he'd produce a carbon copy of the Manchester City superstar's pearler against Crystal Palace 24 hours earlier.

He was as good as his word, climbing off the bench midway through the second half to smash home the biggest goal of his career.

With Celtic leading 3-2 deep into added time and on course to wrestle the title initiative back off the Ibrox side, Matondo cut in off the left flank and unleashed a stunning strike high across Joe Hart into the top corner.

The similarities with De Bruyne's strike against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park were uncanny and Matondo made a beeline for his boss as soon as the net bulged.

He said: "I ran over to the manager because before the game we were speaking and he asked me if I saw Kevin Bruyne's goal.

"We work a lot in training and he works a lot with me on cutting in and getting shots off and keeping it low in the corners.

"So I said to him, 'Yeah, I did' but it wasn't quite low in the corner the way he wants me to do it.

"But he said that when you get to that level like De Bruyne, that's basically his low corner, the top corner.
