Missing teen fundraiser is a cruel scam

The mum of a missing teenager has warned kind-hearted strangers not to donate to fake fundraisers set up in his name.

Aleksandr Benga, 16, vanished on Monday, November 18 having been last spotted around 8.45am at Lews Castle, Stornoway.

His devastated mum Viktoria has been leading public appeals to help find her son.

But she was forced to issue a warning on social media about fake online fundraisers after a scammer attempted to cash in on the family's turmoil.
