SIR Rod Stewart has rallied the Tartan Army to get behind Steve Clarke's lads tonight in Scotland's do-or-die clash against Switzerland.
Captain Andy Robertson and his team are desperate to bounce back from Friday's catastrophic 5-1 opening game disaster against hosts Germany.
Now Rod, a long-term Tartan Army foot soldier said he expects Steve Clarke's side to claim their first win of the tournament. The rocker said: "My tip for the game is we will teach Switzerland a footballing lesson. It would be great for me to go to the game, but I'm on tour and will be watching the games there.
"The Scottish football team has a big place in my heart.
"My father is actually the only real Scot in my family - my mother, my siblings and I were all born in England. But because my father has such a strong connection to Scottish football, we're all rooting for the team."
Legendary football commentator Archie Macpherson, 89, also believes that Scotland can qualify for the next round despite the result against hosts Germany in Friday's opening glamour tie in Munich.
