SCOTS have been urged to stay safe as the country swelters in the hottest week of the year so far.
With temperatures expected to soar past 26C, it’s feared that breathing problems and heat-related deaths could rise.
Aberdeen and parts of the north-east and the Highlands were set for temperatures of up to 26C yesterday.
In the Central Belt including Glasgow and Edinburgh it reached 23C in the afternoon.
