The result lifts Ryan Lamb’s side to eighth in the table, which man-of the-match Rhys Williams felt was just reward for some targeted work on the training pitch.
He said: “We’ve focused a lot on set-pieces, our scrums have been good, our line outs have been good, and that’s helped us get into good positions today.
“It was a very important game today, we said all week really that we really needed to get a win. It doesn’t matter how pretty it was, we’ve got the win and I’m very chuffed.
“We’ll come in on Tuesday, have a look at where we went wrong in the second half and improve on that for next time.”
