Joy's best stress busters

For Joy Bauer, every morning starts off the same as it does for many of us: sipping a cup of coffee. “It comes before everything else I do, and just having that moment to myself as part of my routine sets a tranquil tone for my day,” Joy shares with FIRST.

“I have a tendency to say yes to everything,” Joy admits. “And while I tend to operate best on all cylinders, it can also lead to a lot of stress.” What keeps her grounded? Choosing a daily mantra as she enjoys that early morning cup of joe.

“‘I feel good, I am worthy, I believe in myself’—those are powerful mantras I use,” she shares. “I also like, ‘I am kind, I am compassionate, I am supportive.’ Think what you’d tell somebody else and do the same for yourself. It brings peace.” Here, more of Joy’s secrets to make every day joyful, healthy and serene.
