If it wasn’t on your plate, it doesn’t count, right? I’m talking about those times that you go to the pub and smugly turn down the offer of chips with your chicken salad, only to pick them off your partner’s plate.

The same goes when your friend proudly denounces puddings while knocking back half a bottle of Chardonnay, because liquid calories also don’t count, do they? You know it’s wrong, but you pretend otherwise.

Seriously, if you really want to lose fat, being honest with yourself is everything – no pretence, no secrecy and no pulling the wool over your eyes. I don’t mean just paying attention to what you eat and upping your steps (though that will get you results, for sure.) I’m talking about full disclosure. Confront the subject matter!
