The Law
The story of the “Lawman”, and the Lawman Mustang program, actually began in the early 1960’s way before Ford ever got involved.
Ranc Hero
When Adan Liepner from Prince Albert in the Western Cape first saw the band ZZ TOP’s car collection, he fell in love with classics and his dream of owning a garage full of classics and hot rods began.
Project Camaro
It’s the early 70’s, in the mid-west of the big US of A. Late at night, a Mustang lines up at a stop light and next to it a pretty stock looking ’68 Camaro.
Jimmy Price
Port Elizabeth has always been known as a South African motor industry hub, going back to 1924 when the first vehicles rolled off Ford’s local assembly line.

1968 Volvo 122s The Rebel Blues
Back in the day, or more like your dad’s day, Volvos were pretty cool cars that became quite sought after.
1970 & 1972 Ford Capri Vatos Locos
After attending the highly successful Cars in the Park show in Ashburton this year, I was left thoroughly impressed with what I had seen.

Resto - Mod - Corvette
In 2010, whilst looking at Corvette C2’s on eBay, I came across a picture of a 1965 Convertible that looked like the best value for my limited budget. The exchange rate was approximately R7 to $1 at that stage, and I was shocked at how limited our currency made my seach! There were far better C2’s available however they were way out of my monetary capabilities.
The Demon
Over the last few months we have been talking about the New Dodge Demon. With promo trailers and sneak peak photos all over the Internet hype was building however Dodge did not disappoint.

Street Surfer
When a friend of mine posted a picture of her Dad’s rat rod, I was intrigued… this car had so much detail and was so unusual, and I had to know more. I knew this car would be something special and different to share with our SA Hotrods readers!
Ethanol Hot Rod
With a 500-horsepower engine, a channeled body and a chopped top, GM’s custom street rod looks right at home on the salt flats of Bonneville. But instead of a traditional gasoline V-8, this ’34 Chevy replica rod sports a turbocharged 2.0L Ecotec engine that runs on E85 ethanol. Appropriately, it has been dubbed the FlexFuel Chevy Hot Rod.
Slooten Mustang
The three Slooten brothers are very well know n in the local drag racing community and especially since they own some mean big block V8 American cars that are all hellishly fast!
The Chief
Dirk Smal Snr has been a long time Rodder, his dream car a 1959 Chevy. He finally got his hands on one,
600HP Corvette
1980 was a lousy year. John Lennon was assassinated, inflation was out-of-control, the economy was in a state of purgatory and Corvettes were being face-lifted… and you had to settle for one with a 350ci V8 – a rather limp 190hp from a 5.0-litre lump of small-block torture. And if that wasn’t enough, a controversial federal law ruled that all speedometers had to read to a maximum of 85 mph (137 km/h).
Sublime
World famous custom car builder and high-quality billet parts manufacturer Ringbrothers unveiled its newest one-of-a-kind Mustang, the 1965 widebody convertible Mustang “Ballistic” in the Ringbrothers booth at the 2016 SEMA Show on November 2, 2016. “Ballistic” marked a first for Ringbrothers, as the builder has built many Mustangs, but this is the first widebody convertible to leave the Spring Green, Wisconsin shop. The Mustang unveil was also the first time Ringbrothers hosted a car reveal in its booth at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
Legendary
It takes more than hype to build a legend. Performance cars, like people, achieve legendary status for a reason. And if you want to understand why, you need to drill down to the source material, the origin story, the first of the breed. For Shelby Mustang fans, that means going straight back to the 1965 GT350.
