Alex Jones is feeling emotional. As co-host of The One Show, the presenter has covered all manner of moving issues.

But when TV Times chats to her about new six-part W series The Secrets in My Family, which sees her help people who are desperate to discover the truth about long-held family mysteries, it’s clear her heartstrings have been tugged more than ever before.

Here Alex, 40, tells us more…

How would you describe the series?

It’s about people who’ve spent years, and often decades, knowing that there’s a secret in their family and it has had a huge effect on their life. They’ve tried every avenue to get to the bottom of the story and find people but have not succeeded, so often we are the last call.
