Studio Archohm was set up by Ar. Sourabh Gupta to experiment with various typologies of design projects. “I perceive life as a process of continuous evolution and learning and it has been a beautiful journey,” says Ar. Gupta. “Our portfolio showcases an amalgamation of typologies, scales and sectors of architectural works, infrastructure, furniture and product designs.” Under his leadership, the firm has grown in the last decade and a half and won many design competitions and commissions.
People from architecture, urban design, product design, graphic design and academia have come together to stimulate an unconventional design perspective at the inter-disciplinary firm. Gupta is passionate about engaging the design community and the academic fraternity in meaningful conversations and global collaborations. This has led to the formation of ‘design village’ (a design school), ‘design factory India’ (an experience design wing), ‘arch forum’ (workshops), ‘archotour’ (a 10-day annual expedition to design destinations) and ‘archohmeter’ (a periodic design newsletter). He has contributed to various national and international design events, forums and publications.
