Secrets of the Orchards

When Louis Vuitton launched Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric at their store in Marina Bay Sands Singapore in February, there were long queues waiting to get their hands on the fine treats flown in from Paris.

This Singapore store marks the debut of the chocolate shop beyond its French borders. In 2022, Chef Maxime Frédéric began his adventure with the luxury brand with the opening of a Louis Vuitton café and first chocolate shop in Paris. The award-winning chef pâtissier of the Cheval Blanc Paris handcrafts the chocolates using a variety of high quality ingredients.

Among his chocolate products are the Damier-shaped Chocolate Tablets, Monogram Flower, Chocolate Bar and Filled Trunk Tablets, which take inspiration from Louis Vuitton’s signature motifs.

From Normandy with love

A native of Normandy, Chef Maxime meticulously and personally sources for raw materials for his chocolate pieces. And this of course includes milk from Normandy.

The chef who visits his hometown once or twice a month says, “I’m the grandson of a dairy farmer.
