Find out how love for fashion brought three close friends to start the pret label, LoveGen…
DOLLY SIDHWANI, BHAVANA PANDEY and NANDITA MAHTANI.
What’s common, you may ask. Well, apart from being friends, the trio share a love towards fashion. It is a major adhesive to their friendly banters, so much so that they joined in to nurture this love professionally, and started a pret label, LoveGen. In a chat with us, these stylish ladies tell us how they mix and single out their personal and professional lives…
How did the collaboration happen?
BHAVANA PANDEY The three of us have been friends for a while. One night, we decided to launch LoveGen. We wanted to create a platform that prided itself on nurturing style statements based on our expertise and passion. Coupled with our industrial expertise in fashion and our social network, we wanted to create a brand that did not compromise on quality, was practical, easily available and affordable. Our aim was to create a brand that spelt attitude.
DOLLY SIDHWANI Our mantra is simple. If you lay your eyes on it and if you like what you see, the limit on your credit card should not stop you from owning it. We have a unified vision of making LoveGen a fashion brand that inspires, cuts through the high street clutter, emerges as a favourite and yet does not cause a dent in your wallet. After all, owning an enviable wardrobe should not come at a price tag made of gold.
NANDITA MAHTANI Our individual ideas on what’s in vogue, combined with knowledge of trend forecasting and our travels around the globe, is a total win for the label. Fashion belongs to everyone and we wanted to create a platform providing top of the line designs which are fashionable yet affordable.
