TONY Pulis said Sheffield Wednesday need “quality and inspiration” in the January transfer window after Barnsley triumphed in the South Yorkshire derby.

“The players are what they are and I think they are doing their damndest to get results,” said the former Stoke City and Middlesbrough boss.
“But the group needs a bit of inspiration, really. We need to get one or two players in. The depth of the squad and the identity of the team are two things that concern me, and I’ve spoken to the chairman about that.
“We’ve got to do something in January, for the sake of the players more than anything else. We need a bit more quality, and a bit more know-how.”
