Part 2 – Mike concludes his look at overn ight carp angling.
“Do I really need this?” is a phrase that’s plagued my thoughts relentlessly for a very long time. Maybe it’s my obsessive compulsiveness taking over or maybe it’s just the fact that the British Army has done its job after serving for 13 years. Whichever way I look at it, though, that thought process and criticalness have certainly played pivotal roles in my becoming a seasoned overnight angler.
The second I leave work I have the mindset of the world being against me and that I have a battle to face in order to get the rigs out on my spots, whether that is the traffic, the weather, other anglers, or how fatigued I feel, to name just a few. Ultimately the above mentioned are very time consuming, and time is of the essence and will be always against me. With that in mind, I just don’t have the time to be loading unnecessary items on to my barrow, burdening my load and wasting vital energy by burning excess calories pushing an overloaded barrow around a lake.

Around the venues If I told you in Staffordshire there is a fishery with pools within which the average carp is currently over 30lb, you’d be interested, wouldn’t you? What if I told you it’s not a syndicate or a club venue, but is available for all to fish on a day-ticket basis? Still interested?
