FITTED FACE COVERING

YOU WILL NEED

Fat quarter of patterned fabric

Matching thread

Florist wire or pipe cleaner

60cm length of elastic

Scissors Pins

1 Enlarge the template so the distance between A and B measures the distance between the point of your nose and point of your chin. Cut out along the solid line for the front piece template, then cut along the dotted line to create the lining template.

2 On folded fabric, cut out one pair of front pieces and one pair of lining pieces.

3 Join the front pieces together along the curved edge (the side with A and B markings) with a 1cm seam allowance. Finger press the seam open and then topstitch either side of the seam by about 3mm to secure. Cut away any excess seam allowance. Repeat for the lining pieces.

4 On the lining pieces, run a zigzag stitch or overlock the short edges to stop them from fraying. Turn the short sides to the wrong side by 1cm and topstitch in place.
