Doc Martin is back for a new series and as the TV crew arrive in Port Isaac again, Martin Clunes takes us on a tour of his favourite Cornish haunts
Not long after dawn in the tiny Cornish village of Port Isaac and already the narrow streets are buzzing. Not with fishermen back from the sea – but with tourists and the Doc Martin TV crew. A coachload of American visitors rolls up at 7.30am (whatever time could they have left their hotel!), cameras and cables are being strewn around the pocket-handkerchief harbour and John Marquez, who plays PC Penhale, has been spotted and being persuaded to pose for a selfie with an excited fan.
