Denim sewing machine needle
Black sewing thread
Neutral sewing thread
Scissors
50m of natural cotton cord or pulley line
Pins
1 For the small basket you’ll need a 9m length of cord; for the medium basket a 21m length, and for the large basket a 20m length.
2 Begin by snipping off the end of one of the lengths to remove any fraying threads. You can put a couple of hand stitches into the end if it’s fraying badly.
3 Coil the first 30cm of cord around itself to create a tight spiral. Pin through the sides to secure. This will form the base of the basket.
