2022 was to be the year for BMW India

BMW India sold a total of 11,268 units in 2022 which resulted in a year-on-year growth of 36.8 percent. Its sub-brand Mini India sold 713 vehicles in the same period, translating to a YoY growth of 11.4 percent. Topping it off, BMW Motorrad India sold a total of 7,282 units, supplemented by the G 310 RR which was launched mid-2022. BMW Motorrad registered a year-on-year growth of 40.3 percent, with the 310cc models occupying a 90 percent share of its total two-wheeler sales volume. BMW India released 10 different limited edition models under its '50 Jahre M' campaign, which celebrated 50 years of the carmaker's famous M performance division. These models too are expected to have contributed to BMW's stellar sales performance for 2022.

BMW says that sales of its Sports Activity Vehicle range consisting of the X1, X3, X5 and X7 grew at an exponential rate of over 60 percent.
