Sublime interpretations of nature. That could very well be a tagline for Grand Seiko, which in the case of the SLGH027 we perceive in the form of a dial that channels the winter landscape of Mt Iwate in northern Honshu, Japan. Like many other dials in the same vein, this is a symbolic representation of a specific view you get from a Grand Seiko manufacture. Mt Iwate dominates the horizon at the Shizukuishi facility in Iwate prefecture. To begin with the most important point then, the dial is what makes this new model noteworthy; all other specifications are the same as previous iterations of this Evolution 9 Hi-Beat watch.
The SLGH027's dial draws inspiration from the ridged contours of Mt. Iwate, a significant stratovolcano complex that has not erupted since 1732, but is plenty active.
