With a radiant smile, an almost invisible halo behind her, glowing skin, curly black hair, and a sparkle in her eyes, she's an angel to me and a spiritual guru to many. Meet Cheryl Dabhi. A forty-five-year-old qualified naturopathic doctor, who astonishes many with her special spiritual gift from the Almighty. She heals people by taking them into a trance and balances and cleanses their body chakras and auras.
It was just two months ago that I had approached her, all perplexed and disappointed with my long list of problems. When I think about it, I can't believe that I still haven't met her in person. She told me that in the next two days, she would be taking a workshop on mastering manifestation and spiritual accountancy, which was a two-week-long programme with virtual classes, (which, to me, seemed much more than real). Through this programme, I experienced a powerful trance not once but many times over.
Dancing with the Divine
The first time I experienced it was on the second day of the class itself. She asked the participants if we would like to meet God. Who would say no to such a proposition? It was only a matter of two to three minutes when Cheryl started praying and taking us all on a journey to the divine darkness. Yes, darkness can be divine when we go inside ourselves. It was there that I saw Krishna and Shiva, two of my favourite gods. They looked exactly like how we would see them in our temples and pictures. They seemed so happy to meet me. First, Shiva came forward and danced a kikli (a Punjabi folk dance) with me. A little later, Krishna also joined in, and all three of us danced in the supreme light. There was no one else there. After three to four minutes, when it was time for us to get out of the trance, Cheryl prayed again and brought us back. It was the most beautiful version of God I have ever experienced.
