BEGINNING AT THE tender age of 11, Harith Green was introduced to woodworking by his parents. He’d pitched in at their furniture factory during school holidays, and over the years, his passion for sustainability and green practices led to the birth of The Green Factory in 2013.
With a range of eco-friendly and innovative creations, Green Factory has gained recognition worldwide, with big names such as Coca-Cola, Rolls Royce, and Ferrari having collaborated with him. His products have also reached more than 20 countries. No small feat for a local business.
One of the reasons for his success has to be his intricate craftsmanship and attention to detail. And the concepts for his pieces are interesting too. This includes a coffee table made from bicycle wheels, a chest of drawers made from various forms of waste materials, and tables crafted from wood salvaged from 100-year-old buildings.
Drawing inspiration from nature, culture, and everyday objects, Harith works closely with his team to bring these novel and sustainable designs to life.
Which such interesting concepts behind each piece, it’s hard not to wonder if Harith already has a plan in mind before starting a project, or if he simply waits for lightbulb moments.
