THE CHOW KIT KITCHEN & BAR has always been one of the best destinations to visit in the heart of KL if you’re looking for good food. And starting from May, the restaurant is giving visitors even more reasons to stop by. That’s because it’s just launched its latest Ketam menu, which celebrates the diversity of Malaysian flavours with dishes crafted to showcase fresh mud crabs.
For a quick primer, the menu consists of these items that can be ordered separately: Mango Pai Tee, Curry Croquette, Wok Hei Fried Rice, Spicy Linguine, Chilli Crab, and Curry Crab. The final two crab items are accompanied by man tao buns and Hainanese toast respectively, and prices start at MYR25++ per 100g.
The Mango Pai Tee is a wonderful starter for any meal, as its outer layer provides for a nice and light crunch to get you in the mood. The juicy chunks of crab are complemented by the zing of mango, giving you that bright burst to prepare your palate for whichever mains you choose to go with.
