THE ANNUAL MET GALA was held last month, but it created enough buzz for the rest of the year. The first week of May is perhaps one of - if not the main highlights for the fashion people. As per tradition every year, people expect to see major looks emerge that will make or break the fashion trend for the remaining months. While many were excited about the gorgeous dresses and extravagant silhouettes from the ladies, the best fashion contenders of Met Gala 2023 were the men.
Under the umbrella theme of honouring the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, the seas of blacks and whites seemed to be the common codexes of the night. Of course, the forecast that most male celebrities will walk through the famed red carpet decked in suits was not a miss. Yet, they seemed to get the memo this year and stepped up their fashion games. From layerings to colour-blocking, shining and bedazzling, here are our top eight picks compiled for your next suit-up.
PEDRO PASCAL
The current Internet sensation (thanks to TikTok's algorithm) once again, breaks the online community with his daring, almost cheeky, look on the red carpet. Dressed by Valentino, the actor wore a bright red shirt paired with black shorts, under the veil of a structured felt coat. The cherry on top? Shiny black boots, calf-length socks and a simple, straight black tie with a silver accent. He was modestly dressed, yet so bold altogether. His confidence and devilishly handsome smirk were probably the only appropriate accessories fit for such an appalling but appealing look.
