BRANDON CHIN, JOEL TEH AND EDWIN KOH are the 3 men behind The Thieves group of F&B outlets, which include Breakfast Thieves, Snitch by the Thieves, Flying Peacock and two Gong Cha franchises.

The story starts in Melbourne circa 2011 when Chin met Koh through a mutual friend. The up-and-coming chef and finance graduate hit it off straight away, with their business skills complementing each other.

“Once I tried Brandon’s dishes, I knew it was a no-brainer to go into business with him,” said Koh. In 2012 they founded Breakfast Thieves in Fitzroy, Melbourne. The cafe took off and became a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, winning multiple awards such as the “Urbanspoon 2012 Top Restaurant” and “The Age Good Cafe Guide Awards 2012”.

Fast forward four years later and Breakfast Thieves APW Bangsar was born. “Brandon and I always had an intention to open a Breakfast Thieves in KL, but we knew we needed an experienced local operator,” said Koh.
