BATEMAN WANTS FINAL SAY

JOHN BATEMAN is aiming to help Warrington to a maiden Grand Final win after joining them until the end of the season.

The uncompromising England forward has fallen out of favour at NRL club Wests Tigers and decided to return to Super League.

Sam Burgess Wire are top of the table and 30-year-old Bateman was attracted by the lure of helping them to become champions for the first time since 1955.

Bateman, who will make his debut in the mouthwatering home clash on Friday with second-placed Hull KR, said: "I know Sam and quite a few of the boys here. It's about going out there, putting my best foot forward and taking this club to somewhere it's never been before and that's winning the Super League.
