Halle can finally live ..she can finally fly

A SCHOOLGIRL on the "brink of death" during a two-year leukaemia ordeal is cancer-free in time for Christmas.

Halle Willis, six, from Dumfries, rang the celebratory bell on Saturday to mark the end of her treatment.

By her side were mum Jessica Griffiths, 36, and dad Matthew Willis, 37.

Halle was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia on her first day of school in August 2022 after collapsing.

Medics said her bone marrow was "85 per cent full of cancer".

Jessica said: "I asked if she was going to survive, but they told me they didn't know.

It was terrifying."
