HUMZA Alarm bells should be ringing up and down country

HUMZA Yousaf has announced he is quitting frontline politics with a warning over Elon Musk's growing influence in the US and UK.

The former first minister said yesterday he will not stand at the 2026 Holyrood election.

Yousaf, 39, became the first Muslim leader of a European government when he replaced Nicola Sturgeon as SNP leader in March 2023.

But his time in the top job in Scottish politics lasted a little over a year after his administration crumbled following the end of a powersharing deal with the Greens.

Yousaf has now warned alarm bells should be ringing "right up and down" British politics over the threat posed by Musk, given his reported plans to bankroll the far-right through Reform UK.
