EX-ABERDEEN striker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has been sacked by Greenock Morton after appearing in court charged in connection with an attempt to smuggle £600,000 of cannabis.
The club confirmed the news on Thursday following a hearing where the 33-year-old player made no plea.
A club statement said: "The contract of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has been terminated with immediate effect."
