RANK ROTTEN

GRAHAM WILSON hit a deadly double to seal Darvel's first ever Scottish Junior Cup triumph - then admitted that he had been rank rotten.

His second-half brace at Broadwood saw David Winters' side lift the trophy despite going behind to Scott Anson's 50th-minute opener for Arthurlie.

Wilson's 88th-minute winner means it's now a sixth Junior Cup winners' medal for the former Auchinleck Talbot striker.

But he said: "Scoring the two goals and winning the game was special. But, to be honest, myself and the team weren't good... I was rank rotten! "I'll take that though.

I'd rather be rotten and score two than be going home without the cup.

"I don't think anyone really expected us to get to the final.

"We've probably overachieved by winning the West of Scotland Cup too.

Two trophies is magic.

"We've had setbacks all season but fought back.

Today was like that after losing the opening goal.
