RAPE CRISIS ROW BOSS SAYS SORRY

THE chief executive of Rape Crisis Scotland has said sorry to survivors who have been affected at one of the charity's support centres.

Sandy Brindley apologised to users of the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre (ERCC) after it failed to provide women-only spaces for 16 months.

A review also found that the facility's chief executive, Mridul Wadhwa, had behaved unprofessionally.

Rape Crisis Scotland (RCS), which commissioned the report, paused new referrals to the centre after finding it had not put survivors first or adhered to national standards.
