ERLING HAALAND’S words will certainly strike an ominous chord with Manchester City’s title rivals.
The message is twofold: City are determined to get even better this season and, from a personal perspective, the goal machine has set his sights on becoming an even better striker.
City are aiming for a record-extending fifth straight Premier League title but could face stiff competition from Arsenal and Liverpool.
Haaland – who scored his 91st goal in 100 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side as they beat Chelsea in their opening game of the Premier League season – says the whole squad is driven to do even better this year.
The Norwegian admitted he is under pressure to deliver more goals and trophies but insists that he can handle the expectation levels.
