CHER hired a pickup truck to "sneak in" to war-torn Ukraine to rescue a bear following Russia's invasion.
The singer, 77, had earlier freed other animals from a zoo in the country with her Free The Wild charity before Mad Vlad's invasion 18 months ago.
Cher said: "In Ukraine, we transferred six lions, a bear, a panther and a tiger. We went in before the war and did everything to get them out.
"But we left the bear, so we had to sneak back in with a big pickup truck and get him out during the war."
Cher now plans to rescue 38-year-old elephant Billy from Los Angeles Zoo.
The Turn Back Time star also freed an Asian elephant, called Kaavan, from Islamabad Zoo, Pakistan.
She said: "It took me five years in court to get Kaavan out of that zoo, but Islamabad finally understood exactly why it needed to be done.
"Now we're working with one of, if not the most, developed nations on the planet, the United States,&nbsp;and our own people don't seem to understand or appreciate the effects of zoo life on these creatures.
"This kills me. I think about Billy all the time.
"He's in constant pain from the cement-like ground he walks on."
The Los Angeles Zoo said it has "complete confidence" in its animal care team "including those who care for our elephants"
