Raducanu can't relight her fire as Lulu ends dream

EMMA shocked RADUCANU was by Kiwi qualifier Lulu Sun to become the last British singles player to be knocked out of Wimbledon.

The Bromley-based star stunned the sporting world by coming through qualifying to win the 2021 US Open without dropping a set.

And Raducanu had seemed set for her best run at her home Grand Slam after winning her first three matches without dropping a set.

But she last night fell victim to this Wimbledon's fairy tale story as world No.123 Sun reached the quarter-finals on her Wimbledon debut.

The New Zealander has now won seven consecutive matches here.

Raducanu said: "It was a difficult match. Lulu played really good tennis today.

"I think that I gave my best, I fought really hard. Today her tennis was better and deserved the win.
