The actress, 81, who played Rovers Return landlady Bet Lynch for more than 25 years, has been living with the condition in secret for “some time”.
But yesterday, her husband Scott Brand, 55, broke the sad news so her many fans would understand if she seemed “confused”.
Julie is determined not to let the condition stop her from living life to the full and still wants to go out and socialise with friends.
