STEVE BORTHWICK and his England coaches are changing the way Tom Curry plays to protect him from further head injuries.
Curry was concussed for the second time this season in the 42-37 defeat to Australia and missed last weekend’s 2920 reverse to South Africa.
The Sale flanker has been passed fit for Sunday’s final autumn Test, against Eddie Jones’ Japan, but has a long history of head knocks.
He had three in 2022, and a near career-ending hip injury last season, and England are determined to save him from himself by tweaking his technique in the contact area.
