HARRY KANE is ready to swap Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record for the Ballon d’Or.

By signing a four-year deal with Bayern Munich at the age of 30, Kane accepts his chances of scoring the 47 Premier League goals he needs to match the Newcastle legend’s tally of 260 are limited.

But by finding the net for a team in contention for domestic and European prizes, Kane feels even greater individual honours could follow – including the European footballer of the year award.
