A DRUGS kingpin has been caged after his passion for a butcher's shop revealed his identity to cops.Dean Cooper, 51, was the mastermind behind a £3.68million cocaine racket.But he was busted by Operation Venetic, a huge police probe into secret chats on the encrypted network EncroChat.Cooper - who called himself "Berrystar" was caught after he sent a message saying: "You've got to get to this butchers on Tuesday best meat ever had mate." When cops checked out the shop they found Cooper had spent £34 there.This helped National Crime Agency sleuths to prove that Cooper and Berrystar were the same person.Berrystar also bragged about splashing out £240 on two pairs of trainers. Cooper's bank statement revealed the same amount had been spent at a shoe shop. Cooper, from Liverpool, was jailed for 15 years for conspiracy to supply cocaine, heroin, amphetamine, cannabis resin and ketamine.NCA operations manager Mark Morrison said: "Cooper's conversations about his butcher and his trainers helped ensure the case was rock solid."
