A WOMAN attacked by an angry otter lost a chunk of her ear and said she was worried she wouldn't survive.
Jen Royce, 37, was celebrating her birthday by tubing on a river with two of her friends when the furry thug crept up and attacked them.
Her face was left badly cut and her arms and legs were bruised in the ordeal.
Writing on Facebook, she said: "I did not think I was going to make it out of that river.

"I had no clue if my friends were going to make it out. But by the grace of God we did." The attack on the Jefferson River in Bozeman, Montana, US, lasted around five minutes and left Jen with a partially torn earlobe.
The mum claimed the group was unable to fight back due to the depth of the water. It was also nearly dark.
"I tried to kick it away, but I would just get attacked somewhere else," she added.
"This thing was relentless.
"I am grateful, and I am alive." Eventually they escaped and got medical help, with all three being given rabies treatments as a precaution.
