For the Love of Motherhood

A girl with big dreams who wished to conquer and make a name for herself, but life had different plans.
Manmeet Singh
For the Love of Motherhood

Married off to a merchant navy engineer at 22, life after marriage was the exact opposite of my life compared to what I had at my parents' home. Coming to a new city without any friends while my husband's profession also kept him away was difficult. I wanted to have a baby and become a mom badly when I was 23 years old. Once I did, suddenly life became so beautiful as I had someone as my own. My son became the center of my existence.

Actually, it was motherhood that had always attracted me more to marriage than being a wife. If I could help it, I would be a mother without being a wife, something totally unheard of back in the 1990s.
