Movement is medicine, a concept attributed to Hippocrates in 400 BC, highlights how being active leads to healthier muscles, improving our overall well-being, including our mental health. Adapting to a changing world is key to success, allowing us to thrive.
Recently, I joined Augustman Malaysia, responding to an invitation from editor-in-chief Farhan Shah to manage the Malaysian edition of a men’s lifestyle magazine that I have long admired. I take great pride in leading an all-women’s team for a men's magazine, reflecting the changing times. This issue serves as a reminder of how consistent movement benefits us.
Our cover personality, actor and model Meerqeen, champions the power of sports and aims to create community events for Malaysians to enjoy its benefits. Travel stories inspire us, offering new perspectives. We explore how Aman resorts interpret Sri Lankan culture (Pg 100). Meanwhile, David Beckham’s seamless transition from sportsman to style icon is showcased in a Hugo Boss capsule collection, marking his evolution from a Hackney kid to a stylish Londoner (Pg 14). Being involved in the journey of bringing this issue of Augustman to life—from initial ideas to final print—never ceases to excite me. As I take on this new role and savour each new experience as it comes, I look forward to sharing it all with you.
